I’m a SEO Consultant for a small UK Based Agency. I’m interested in Web design, Internet Marketing and anything Business related.

This is where I share the things that interest, inspire and keep me up at night.

Richard Petersen

You are driving down the road in your car on a wild, stormy night, when you pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus:

An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.

An old friend who once saved your life.

The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car?

Think before you continue reading.

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application. You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first. Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.

YOU WON ‘T BELIEVE THIS………………

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer.

He simply answered: ‘I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams.’

"Don’t cry to give up, cry to keep going"

“Don’t cry to give up, cry to keep going”

"Focus on the essential and eliminate the rest"

“Focus on the essential and eliminate the rest”

- Leo Babuta - The power of less

Goal 1: 30 Days to Learn jQuery

I’m going to need to learn it at some point. Copywriter I know. He was telling me about the controls he’s written for Agora…Nightingale Contant etc. I congratulated him on his success and asked about the other MAJOR mailers like: Boardroom, Healthy Directions, Rodale etc. His exact words were… “you will find them hard to get work from them. It’s virtually impossible unless you’re one of the very best writers on the planet.”

…That was HIS paradigm. - his prison.

Probably passed to him by the person he was trained by. Fortunately I learned at an early age never to believe ANYONE who wishes to put limits on what YOU can do.

This is exactly what Steve Jobs meant when he said “Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.”

So if you’re currently hanging around with ANYONE who keeps saying to you, you’ll never do this…or you’ll never be able to do that - - I advise you distance yourself from these people.

They may not intentionally mean you harm.
But they will harm you just the same.

P.S. Two days after this conversation with my copywriter friend, I was speaking with the executive VP of Boardroom, who was interested in my work. Impossible? Fuck off!
”

- Jason Strachan

"15:27, restate my assumptions: 1.
Bulk Ping Free Indexer

Google Webmaster Tools (wait until 50% of site shows in index, then proceed to next step)

20x MANUAL Web2.0 Creation to Home Page (Spun Content)

10x MANUAL Web2.0 Creation to Inner pages (Spun Content)

1000 AMR Blast to Web2.0’s

XRUMER AMR URL’s

BMD Xrumer AMR URLs

SB Blast > everything with all related keywords as possible.

It works for some and not for others. When I check tumblr they say its pointing to the wrong ip address.

Anyway while leaving it for far to long I suddenly realised in the cpanel I had already setup a blog.richardpetersen.co.uk pointing to some test site.

Now I have deleted that sub domain and requested that blog.richardpetersen.co.uk now points to the tumblr ip address.

So fingers crossed.

The only problem is I have to wait for up to 3 days to see if it works or not, but I am quietly confident :-)

Internal Linking Strategy and Guidelines

Internal Linking Strategy and Guidelines

193 Link Building Strategies

193 Link Building Strategies

"nah its all about leverage. That guy maybe sells 10 stands a year to crazy day traders that need that much screen space. He’s not rolling in dough or anything. Scalability is where its at. A product that more people need than can currently be produced. Something that isnt easily copiable. Thats why SEO is such a rockstar industry right now. I mean sure there are agencies springing up all over the place selling cheap low level seo. But the real stuff. The stuff that works over and over and makes big companies big money… only a few hundred people in the world really understand it and are agile enough to keep up with google. There are more companies that need that than people who can deliver and thats why we can charge lawyer prices and not run out of customers. Eat it up it wont last forever. SEO will always exist but this huge disparity between supply and demand will not.”

- Kris Roadruck

There might be a lot of people disliking David Cameron right now...

There might be a lot of people disliking David Cameron right now for the things he has done in europe but watch this video and see why he didn’t bend over and let them do him up the arse.

Jason Fladlien is hiring phone reps
